“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor…””
Trade 180 is a caring community of support for the young marginalized people in Orleans County, ages 18-25. It is a place for the neglected and forgotten to come and be loved and accepted for who they are. Each will be given the opportunity to develop life skills, work skills and learn a trade while discovering their value to God and to their own community. The heart of Trade 180 is to see each individual thrive in life, not just survive day by day. Through godly counsel and spiritual training there is the hope that each young person will become whole in Jesus Christ.
We are currently asking for charitable donations to continue the renovation project of the 'Onesimus House' and to support the operating expenses of 25 East Bank Street downtown location where the Powered For Life course is held.
In October 2021 Trade 180 was blessed with the gift of a double store-front building in downtown Albion, NY. The hearts of the generous donors share the vision and mission of Trade 180 to reach the youth of our region. We are grateful for God's provision! This new location at 25 East Bank Street, Albion has allowed us to begin training and offer the "Powered For Life" course to 18-25 year-olds who will benefit from the guidance of mentors, work readiness skills and hands-on projects within varying trades.
If you would like to learn more about the mission of Trade 180, feel free to contact Heidi by email or phone 585.735.5842 to set up a time to meet in person. May God richly bless you!
